RealtorFinder, LLC ("RealtorFinder," "we," "our," or "us") operates the RealtorFinder.net platform. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your personal information when you use our website and services.
1. Information We Collect
Account Information: When you register, we collect your name, email address, ZIP code, user type (seller, realtor, or buyer), and optionally your company name and phone number. Realtors may also provide their license number, brokerage affiliation, years of experience, service areas, and a professional bio.
Listing and Property Data: Sellers provide property address, price, description, bedrooms/bathrooms, square footage, and photos. This information is used to create your listing and may be displayed publicly on the Platform.
Payment Information: We use Stripe to process subscription payments. We do not store your full credit card number on our servers. Stripe's privacy policy governs the handling of your payment information.
Communications: We store messages you send through the Platform, proposals submitted, and reviews you post.
Usage and Analytics Data: We automatically collect information about how you use the Platform, including pages visited, features used, time spent, device information, browser type, and IP address. This is collected through our analytics tools (Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity).

2. How We Use Your Information
We use collected information to:
- Create and manage your account
- Operate the marketplace and connect sellers with realtors
- Send transactional emails (listing confirmations, proposal notifications, account updates)
- Send platform-related communications and, with consent, marketing emails
- Process subscription payments through Stripe
- Improve the Platform through analytics and A/B testing
- Verify realtor license credentials
- Prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access
- Comply with legal obligations
- Respond to customer support requests
3. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information in the following limited circumstances:
- Between Platform users: Seller contact information is shared with realtors whose proposals are accepted. Realtor profile information (name, photo, credentials) is publicly visible on the Platform.
- Service providers: We share data with trusted service providers who help us operate the Platform (SendGrid for email, Stripe for payments, Cloudinary for image storage).
- Analytics and advertising providers: We share anonymized usage data with Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to understand Platform usage. We use the Meta (Facebook) Pixel to measure advertising effectiveness; this may transmit browsing data to Meta Platforms, Inc.
- Legal requirements: We may disclose information when required by law or to protect our rights, users, or the public.
- Business transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, user information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
4. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party service providers to operate the Platform. Each provider acts as a data processor on our behalf and is bound by data processing agreements or standard contractual clauses consistent with applicable law.

6. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. After account deletion:
- Most personal data is deleted within 30 days
- Aggregated, anonymized analytics data may be retained indefinitely
- Transaction records may be retained for up to 7 years for legal and tax compliance
- Backup copies may persist for up to 90 days

We implement industry-standard security measures including password hashing (bcrypt), HTTPS encryption for all data in transit, and access controls. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. GDPR Lawful Basis for Processing
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or United Kingdom, we process your personal data under the following lawful bases:
- Contract performance (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR): Account registration data (name, email, ZIP code), listing and property data, communications and messages, and payment processing — all necessary to provide the services you requested.
- Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR): Analytics and usage data (improving Platform performance), fraud prevention and security, and notifying users of changes to the service. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests by contacting us.
- Consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR): Marketing emails and promotional communications. You may withdraw consent at any time by using the unsubscribe link in any marketing email or by contacting us at privacy@realtorfinder.net.
- Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR): Transaction records retained for tax and legal compliance.
9. Your Rights (GDPR / CCPA)
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Correction: Request correction of inaccurate data
- Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data ("right to be forgotten")
- Portability: Request your data in a machine-readable format
- Objection: Object to processing of your data for certain purposes

- Opt-out of sale: We do not sell personal data. California residents may still submit opt-out requests per CCPA.

- Right to Know: You have the right to request disclosure of the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the categories of sources, the business purpose for collecting it, and the categories of third parties with whom we share it.
- Right to Delete: You have the right to request deletion of personal information we have collected from you, subject to certain exceptions.
- Right to Correct: You have the right to request correction of inaccurate personal information.
- Right to Opt-Out of Sale or Sharing: We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your personal information with third parties for cross-context behavioral advertising.
- Right to Limit Use of Sensitive Personal Information: We do not use sensitive personal information for purposes beyond those permitted by CPRA.
- Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.
Categories of personal information collected: Identifiers (name, email, IP address), internet activity (browsing behavior, page views), geolocation data (ZIP code), commercial information (subscription records), and inferences drawn from usage data.

11. Data Breach Notification
In the event of a personal data breach that poses a risk to your rights and freedoms, we will:
- Notify the applicable supervisory authority within 72 hours of becoming aware of the breach, where required under GDPR
- Notify affected users without undue delay if the breach is likely to result in a high risk to their rights and freedoms
- Notify affected California residents if their unencrypted personal information is involved in a breach, as required by California Civil Code § 1798.82
- Provide breach notifications via the email address associated with your account

12. Children's Privacy
The Platform is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last Updated" date and, where appropriate, by sending an email notification. Your continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
