About RealtorFinder

A new model for hiring a listing agent

RealtorFinder is a real estate marketplace that inverts the traditional agent-selection process. Instead of sellers waiting for cold calls or relying on personal referrals, homeowners post their property on RealtorFinder for free and receive competing proposals from licensed agents in their market. Sellers can compare commission rates, marketing strategies, sales track records, and more — then choose the agent who earns the business.

The platform serves home sellers across more than 1,077 markets in the United States. For real estate agents, RealtorFinder offers a flat-rate monthly subscription with no commission splits — agents pay to access the platform, submit proposals, and win listings on the strength of their credentials and pitch. The company takes no cut of any transaction.

Founded in 2024, RealtorFinder was built on the belief that the traditional way homeowners find listing agents — through referrals and cold outreach — systematically disadvantages sellers and rewards agents who are well-connected rather than well-qualified. By creating a structured, competitive proposal process, RealtorFinder gives every seller access to a broader pool of agents and gives every agent the ability to earn listings on merit.

FAQ for Press

Questions journalists commonly ask

How does RealtorFinder work for sellers?

Sellers create a free listing on RealtorFinder that describes their property and what they are looking for in an agent. Licensed realtors in their market can then browse that listing and submit a proposal — outlining their commission rate, marketing plan, comparable sales, and why they are the right fit. The seller reviews all proposals at their own pace and reaches out to whichever agent they prefer. There is no obligation, and the platform is completely free for sellers.

Who pays for the platform?

Sellers use RealtorFinder at no cost. Realtors pay a flat monthly subscription fee to access the platform, browse listings, and submit proposals. RealtorFinder does not take any percentage of commissions — the subscription is the only revenue source from agents. This structure aligns our incentives with sellers rather than agents.

How big is RealtorFinder?

RealtorFinder currently covers more than 1,077 markets across the United States. The platform was founded in 2024 and is growing its agent subscriber base and seller listing volume. For current metrics and data that can be cited in reporting, please contact press@realtorfinder.net.

What makes it different from Zillow or Realtor.com?

Zillow and Realtor.com are primarily home search portals for buyers. They also operate lead-generation businesses that sell buyer and seller leads to agents — the agent pays Zillow for the contact information of a consumer who may or may not want to work with them. RealtorFinder operates in the opposite direction: sellers post their intent to sell, and agents compete to earn their business. The seller has control of the process from the start, and agents compete on merit rather than purchasing access to a lead.

Is the platform only for listing agents?

The current product is focused on the listing side of a real estate transaction — connecting sellers with agents who want to represent them. RealtorFinder has a separate feature set for buyers who are seeking representation, but the primary product and the core of the press narrative is the seller marketplace.
